About Henry

Henry trained at LAMDA graduating in 2001. Since then he has gained a wealth of experience in film, theatre and voiceover.

Henry Douthwaite (PRINT)-4.jpgOver 16 years in the industry he has worked and appeared for the BBC, ITV, Channel 5 and performed in independent and international films, both shorts and features. He has worked for the National Theatre and on the West End stage, as well as small and large scale theatrical touring.

Henry writes for both stage and screen. In development are 2 theatrical pieces. His first film script entitled Tabula is set to film later in 2020.

News

Henry recently attended the premiere of Cruel Peter at the Taormina Film Festival. It is being released in 80 territories worldwide late this year.
Henry can be seen as the lead in episode 7 – Beyond the Aquila Rift in the Emmy – nominated Love, Death and Robots for Netflix.
Henry performed as the father in the Barn Theatre, Cirencester’s adaptation of Michael Morpurgo‘s book The Butterfly Lion a production in which Michael himself came to see and stated “Don’t read the book, watch the play”.
Henry is currently dividing time between Rajasthan and Mumbai whilst filming a new Bollywood epic directed by Navdeep Singh and staring Saif Ali Khan.

Off Piste – The feature where Henry plays the lead – is now available on Amazon Prime.
Henry was nominated for Best Performer for his performance in Catch at the Okotoks Film Festival in Canada.
Henry played the lead in a horror feature entitled Cruel Peter set for release in 2018. The short film Catch is still touring the festival circuit. He took a small role in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. He also got married.
